Synopsis:
What if a girl from Kansas coming to Oz wasn’t a one time deal? Maybe it was a regular occurrence. Amy Gumm soon discovers just that and everything that it entails, a savior position, and one of the most wanted people in Oz. Suddenly turning to be the most talked about girl after being the most hated and least remembered in the real world will take some getting used to but the crew of Wicked have her back and a few friends in weird places.
Opinion:
Oz and Wonderland were the fantastical universes where I grew up; a fluffy lion who just needed a hug turned savage. Thanks Danielle Paige. But wow I have never seen any author just go against the original to say it’s corrupt and now you have to save Oz by joining the bad guys. Dorothy Must Die is the most original take on the story I have ever read and I loved every second of it.
Rating: 5 out of 5. Read the second book, get me the third PLEASE. I love this series and every sharp turn it takes. The originality is stunning and the romance will make any reader swoon.
