Miss Mayhem by: Rachel Hawkins

Title:  Miss Mayhem
Author:  Rachel Hawkins
Genre:  Romance, Fantasy, YA/Teen
Age:  12+
Rating:  4 out of 5

Summary:

Life is almost back to normal for Harper Price. The Ephors have been silent after their deadly attack at Cotillion months ago, and best friend Bee has returned after a mysterious disappearance. Now Harper can return her focus to the important things in life: school, canoodling with David, her nemesis-turned-ward-slash-boyfie, and even competing in the Miss Pine Grove pageant.

Unfortunately, supernatural chores are never done. The Ephors have decided they’d rather train David than kill him. The catch: Harper has to come along for the ride, but she can’t stay David’s Paladin unless she undergoes an ancient trial that will either kill her . . . or connect her to David for life.  (Taken from the Goodreads website)

Reaction:

Finally this book comes out!  I've been waiting since last year for this book to finally happen!!!!  And, now ladies and gentlemen...here it is!  This book was pretty good and lived up to most of my expectations, but the only thing that I didn't like about this book was the amount of teenage angst there was in the book.  But the action and romance in this book was pretty good, not as good as the first book, but still good.

Overall:

Solid.  I'll take it.  I wish some things would have been different and better written, but I'll take what I can get.  I will defiantly be reading the next instalment when it comes out!  WARNING:  this book does end on a huge cliffhanger that will probably have you tearing your hair out in frustration, but don't let that get you down it's still a good book!

Can't believe it's already Sunday night -Terantum
