What is the worst couple EVER in a book you’ve read or haven’t read?
Well that’s easy. Eve, Charles, and Caleb and yes I choose a love triangle since the two couples are so screwed up that they hold the same title. So let’s begin with Eve and Charles. Eve is the daughter of the King and has been forced into marriage with Charles who happens to be a big military guy. Eve treats him like crap when all he wants to do is have a mutual friendship and wants to help and protect her. The problem is that this is all caused by the other big couple Eve and Caleb aka the guy she had an affair with and got pregnant with his child which he abandoned her with causing Charles to have to protect her, causing her to hate him. Long story short it’s an endless story of hate. Oh the book? Rise by Anna Carey.
What is your biggest bookish pet peeve?
All my big book pet peeves have to do with the ending of a series and really complies to a list of seven don’t in ending a series and the books they originated from:
- Kill off main character (Allegiant)
- Have the main characters never talk to each other (Nicholas Flamel Series)
- Solve the entire problem in one sentence (Wither)
- Get the main character pregnant (Way too many series too count)
- Have the main character fall in love with someone else besides love interest (Delirium)
- Have the main character get married (Twilight)
- AND FINALLY… Have immortal characters fall in love for the first and last time (Fallen)
What book are you most excited for in 2015?
Hm… is the new Cassandra Clare series still a thing going on this year? If not then between the next book in the Sherlock and Holmes series or Winter (The Lunar Chronicles). The thing is I’m looking for a new roster of obsession series since this year ended most of them. *Mourns the loss of series*
What playlist would you pick for your favorite book?
After 30 minutes of researching songs I came to this list for my favorite book Ensnared by A.G. Howard:
Her Name is Alice by Shinedown. This song perfectly fits Alyssa, Wonderland and all the crazy stuff going on there.
Wonderland by Natalia Kills. I’m 100% sure Alyssa would agree with me that she doesn’t need a prince charming to save her, she can save herself and save the guys she loves while doing it.
Operator by The Ready Set (remixed by NightcoreReality): I love the nightcored version of this song as it keeps with the sporadic and fast paced personality of Morpheus and how he feels about Alyssa and how he perceives that she is torturing him by using his feelings toward her.
I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! At the Disco: This song wraps up everything that Jeb and Morpheus catch between the other and Alyssa and how they sure as the sun shines bright hate each other for it.
Sugar, We’re Goin Down by Fall Out Boy: During the last book Jeb feels a lot of guilt for how he treats Alyssa in order to protect her and so he decides to try to go out with a bang.
Misery Buisness by Paramore: Wow this song is the first one I thought of when I thought of Taylor and how she purely enjoys causing misery and pain to others especially when it has to do with Jeb.
